Nonprofit agencies invited to apply for Avondale’s Contributions Assistance Program
The City of Avondale’s Contributions Assistance Program provides direct monetary grants to nonprofit organizations for projects and activities that provide health and human services to improve the quality of life of Avondale residents. Nonprofit 501(C) (3) agencies that meet the following eligibility criteria are invited to apply.
- Applicants must be a current nonprofit 501 (c)(3). Appropriate documentation must be provided to verify status.
- Applicants must provide direct services, which improve the health and welfare of Avondale residents with a preference for services provided in Avondale.
- Priority will be given to services and initiatives that support and address City Council goals.
- Applicants must provide timely and accurate reports on a quarterly basis. The timely submission of complete and accurate quarterly reports will be considered as part of an organization’s demonstrated performance history and may result in additional consideration points in future Contributions Assistance Program applications.
- Applicants must provide timely and accurate reports on a quarterly basis. Organizations that submit reports after the specified deadlines will receive point deductions on future applications.
- Applicants that receive funding must demonstrate satisfactory progress towards stated goals and objectives during quarterly reporting.
- Applicants must demonstrate the ability to generate revenue from other sources.
- Maximum amount of an award shall not exceed $20,000.
