The Planning Division is a team of dedicated employees working on behalf of the City of Avondale to provide the residents, property owners, developers, and visitors to the City with a high level of service in planning, development review, and site inspections. The role of each planner is to assist in the successful development of each project. We provide quality customer service to our clients, open communication, implementation of alternatives and solutions, and technical support to the City Council, Planning Commission, and the Board of Adjustment regarding development proposals.

Additional information to the Planning Division's operations:

• Pre-application and other development meetings will be conducted in person at Avondale City Hall. 

• Neighborhood meetings required with planning and zoning applications will be held in the City of Avondale near the location of the request. The date, time, web address and phone number will be provided with the meeting notice in the direct mailings, newspaper advertisement, and site sign postings. Comments and questions will be taken during the neighborhood teleconference meeting but are also encouraged in advance; comments and questions can be emailed or called into the project planner at any time.

• Site Inspections for projects can be scheduled directly by contacting your assigned planning project manager by telephone or email.
